Sculptural Assemblages Family Workshop

What happens when you place discarded materials into the hands of children within a space where collaboration, curiosity, and play are the foundations of creation? When waste becomes wonder, how might their perspectives reshape our own understanding of value, reuse and possibility?

Through the eyes of a child, these remnants are not waste, but building blocks of possibility that teach children the principles of designing for a circular economy. We provide open ended materials that make space for imaginative play and creativity.

Experience the magic and movement of ‘Adventures in Material and Space’ as together we re-imagine discarded materials, giving them new life, new purpose, and new value. You will take away with you your own sculptural assemblage and have the opportunity to create a large scale sculpture out of bamboo, fabric and card.

Art in the Park Festival, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire - 2 & 3 August 2025

Pangaea's Mobile Sculpture Studio delivering our Adventures in Material & Space family sculpture workshop at Art in the Park festival.

Delivered by our custom-designed Mobile Sculpture Workshop, that unfolds into a high-quality, outdoor sculpture workshop, complete with professional tools and expert guidance.

Families came with curiosity and discovered what sculpture can be when we let the materials lead.

No glue thank you.

A key aspect of our approach is eliminating the use of glue, which often prevents materials from being separated and reused. Instead we focus on environmentally friendly assembly methods that allows for disassembly and repurpose. Techniques such as wrapping, knotting, folding, clipping and using wire are encouraged when connecting materials. These methods not only reduce waste but promote flexibility, creativity and long term material use in line with circular design thinking.

Now let your creativity flow.
