The children took the lead on creating a final exhibition to share with their parents and carers on the last day; a great opportunity to consolidate learning and articulate the stories behind the artworks and what they had created.

Altering an area of the space using projection, we will play, problem solved and get creative using found objects, coloured acetate and mirrors which become enlarged environments and create an immersive installation of light, sound and sculpture in the space.

Activities Included: Using coloured acetate and objects with an overhead projector; large scale drawing around projected images; using materials to make a sculpture based on what you see; making shadow sticks using wooden dowels and chosen materials; performing in the space created.

Our workshops days are broken up with different creative play and exploratory activities. The children are free to choose from larger collaborative making and small independent activities. We have curated books and short-films to enrich their understanding of how sculpture and art relates to their world, for moments in the afternoon when energy wanes.

“The three days Caitlin, Frankie and Eli attended the course were absolutely amazing! I can’t even describe how happy the kids were and how much they thoroughly enjoyed every day! They are so excited to attend the next one. I am so pleased I came across Pangaea!” – Michelle Avery, parent

Additional needs:

We are happy to accept children with additional needs. However it is essential that you get in touch with us in advance to discuss them so we can ensure a safe, productive and creative experience for all, given our staffing capacity. Failure to do this may mean we are unable to accept your child on the day. We will likely advise a trial half-day to start with.
