Join us for the premier of new short film Chapter 1: The Seed and a live drumming performance, exploring life cycle and its connection with the hand, earth and gesture. Featuring participating musicians Parmjeet Bamrah, Anabell Febles, Mahandra Patel, Abraham Paddy Tetteh and Luke Weaver, specialists in world-music rhythms from Africa, India, Latin America and beyond. Film by Rachael Champion, Dolon Kundu, Amy & Oliver Thomas-Irvine and Jim Woodall and produced by Lucy Tomlins. In partnership with Media Mania.

This event is the public launch of Pangaea’s year-long Hand Earth Gesture Return, sustainable public art programme, for Coventry and Warwickshire.

Daimler Powerhouse Creation Centre in Coventry is opening its doors to the public for the first time since its redevelopment this weekend, with major newly commissioned artworks and a programme of activities created by all the resident companies: Imagineer, Highly Sprung Performance Company, Talking Birds, Media Mania, Pangaea Sculptors’ Centre and Open Theatre Company.
