Victoria Helena is an artist with over 15 years of global experience as a finance professional.
They have contributed to various organisations, from multi-million dollar retail companies to start-ups in the alternative energy sector, art studio complexes, and global NGOs working with the United Nations. Throughout their career, they have collaborated with major galleries, brands and artists, including Pace, Carpenters Workshop, Studio Wayne McGregor, BMW, ArtBasel, Frieze, Random International, and even Burning Man.
Victoria’s unique perspective is informed by their experience as a neurodivergent, queer individual with a complex multi-cultural, working-class, immigrant background. They believe in making finance accessible as a tool of empowerment for artists and marginalised groups.
With an MA in Sculpture from the Royal College of Art, Victoria continues their materials-based practice with a passion for large-scale sculpture, out of their studio in Hackney. Their artistic endeavours have been recognised through participation in the 58th International Venice Biennale, being shortlisted for the Mark Tanner Sculpture Prize and the Benson-Sedgwick Residency.
Victoria founded Artist Money Matters, a consultancy providing expertise in best business practices, financial planning, analysis, contract negotiations, compliance across international jurisdictions, and art production to help fine art professionals and organisations regain their agency in business.
They hold memberships in the Association of Women in the Arts, A-N (The Artist Information Company), FRANK Fair Artist Pay, and the Art Lawyers Association.
