Mark Dunhill

Mark Dunhill is a highly respected visual artist and former academic leader in art and design higher education. After completing an MA in Sculpture at the Royal College of Art in 1977, he developed his practice in London, exhibiting widely across the UK and Europe before joining the University of the West of England, where he became Head of Fine Art. 
 
In 1998 he began collaborating with Tamiko O’Brien as Dunhill and O’Brien, a partnership that has produced international exhibitions and residencies across Europe and Japan. From 2008 to 2017 he held senior roles at Central Saint Martins, including Dean of the School of Art and Academic Dean of Programmes. 
 
Since retiring from full-time academia, he has continued to exhibit internationally, most recently at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Art. Professional appointments include serving as a Trustee for New Platform.Art and the Kenneth Armitage Foundation, and previous roles as an Executive Board Member of the European League of Institutes of Art and Visiting Professor at the Estonian Academy of Art.
