Sarah Staton is an artist and educator based in London. Alongside Sarah’s studio and commissioned work, she is Interim Head of Sculpture MA at the Royal College of Art.
Staton has an expansive, multi faceted approach to her work. Most recently Sarah has delivered three public commissions in West London for Tideway. In 2024, she also created solo exhibitions, new paintings ‘Wonderful’ (2024) for Unicef Innocenti, Florence and work from the 1990s, ‘The Masses’ (2024) at Galerina in London.
Her event based project SupaStore is included in the exhibition Fresh Windows, Tinguely Museum, Basel (2024) and has been hosted by A+A, Venice (2022), South London Gallery, London (2021) Cylinder, Seoul, (2021) Nida Art Colony, Lithuania (2020), Beijing and Oslo. Staton regularly collaborates with other artists and designers in an expansive practice where public art, arts publics, and the traditional mediums of drawing, painting and sculpture are manipulated into an array of contemporary propositions.
Her work is represented in private collections internationally and within the Collections at Tate, Arts Council England, British Museum and the South London Gallery.
