Darryl de Prez is an arts fundraising consultant and contemporary art collector. Darryl studied at the Courtauld Institute of Art before embarking on a thirty-five-year career in arts development, working with Brixton House Theatre, English National Opera, Goodwood Art Foundation, London Symphony Orchestra, The National Trust, The Royal Academy of Arts, Serpentine galleries and the Whitechapel Gallery, among others.

As a collector, Darryl is focused on following and supporting the practices of emerging and mid-career artists, especially those working in sculpture, installation, photography, video and film. Darryl is the Chair of Matt’s Gallery, a non-profit contemporary arts institution with a forty-year history of commissioning artists to make new and innovative work. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and Patron of a number of arts organisations including ArtAngel, New Contemporaries and the Whitechapel Gallery.
