Submit an image of a recent sculpture, collaging the best of UK sculpture today.
You must confirm the artwork is your own and you have full rights to use the images submitted.
Launching this summer will be the UK’s first Mobile Sculpture Studio. Available to travel to communities across the UK, this fully-kitted, custom-designed pop-up workshop will deliver inspiring sculpture-making programmes, community consultation on public art and the odd art install or two!
Inspired by the iconic Peter Blake-designed Sgt. Pepper’s album cover (above), we’re inviting submissions from our artist community to have an image of a recent sculpture form part of the exterior van design, collaging the best of UK sculpture today. We will be promoting the van as it travels the country, and it will be seen my millions on its daily travels, so we hope this means some good publicity for you too! There will also be a QR code on the van design linking back to the website, as well as a folder that travels with the van that provides information on each artwork and artist.
If you would like to apply, please first sign-up to our mailing list on the footer below. You are then welcome to submit up to three images of sculptures for consideration by the deadline, via WeTransfer, another file-sharing provider or the form below. The sculptures must be cut-out or on a plain background and be high resolution jpegs (300 dpi (min.) or 600 dpi (max.) at A1 size. You must also supply caption information for each artwork (Artist name, Title, Date). Artworks that are not supplied to the specification will not be considered.
With your submission you must confirm the following:
“I [insert name] confirm that the sculptures submitted are my original works of authorship, and that I hold the copyright in them. I am granting Pangaea Sculptors’ Centre usage rights to use the image to form part of a collage of some of the best UK sculpture today, which will form part of the exterior design of their Mobile Sculpture Studio. I also grant Pangaea Sculptors’ Centre usage rights to use the image of the chosen artwork on social media and for non commercial uses in relation to the promotion of the Mobile Sculpture Studio. I also confirm I hold sufficient copyright in the images submitted to enable me to grant these rights.”
We have no idea how many applicants we will receive for this, so we regret that we will be unable to contact everyone who applies and that submission is not a guarantee of selection. If your sculpture is chosen, we will be in touch!
